• Street and Floodlighting: Our specialist team manages projects of all scales, from public realm lighting in town centres and decorative bridge installations to complex motorway networks and professional sports floodlighting
• EV Charging Infrastructure: We are at the forefront of green energy, serving as a delivery partner for Tesla Motors superchargers across Ireland and providing large-scale zero-emission infrastructure for Translink’s bus fleets

Founded in 1972 by Paul Braham and his wife Margaret, Braham Group began as a small electrical contractor in Newry with an ambition to provide an "unrivalled" service

Over five decades, the business evolved from Paul Braham and Sons Ltd to Braham Electrical, eventually rebranding as Braham Group in 2022 to reflect its status as a leading provider of Electrical, Mechanical, and specialist lighting services across the UK and Ireland

The Group has reached new heights, including the March 2023 acquisition of Victoria Mechanical Services Ltd, a successful Belfast-based Mechanical contractor founded in 1984

This acquisition has bolstered the Group’s mechanical portfolio, allowing for the delivery of seamless, comprehensive M&E installation packages

Operating from headquarters in Warrenpoint and offices in Belfast and Dublin, Braham Group continues to invest in the latest technology and its dedicated team of over 140 staff and specialists to remain a leader in the industry

Since 2010 the company has been guided by a Senior Management Team of three directors who have each dedicated over 25 years to the business, rising through the ranks from the very beginning of their careers

Managing Director Ciaran McQuaid
In his role as Managing Director, Ciaran provides strategic leadership and oversees the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring the Group continues to deliver high-quality services while driving sustainable growth.
Ciaran began his career with the company as an apprentice in 2001 and was recognised as the 2004 UK Apprentice of the Year. He progressed through the business to Contracts Manager before being appointed Director in 2010. Since joining the Senior Management Team, he has played a central role in shaping the Group’s direction, combining hands-on experience with strong operational insight to support long-term success.

Operations Director Thomas Braham
In his role as Operations Director, Thomas is responsible for overseeing the delivery of Street lighting projects along with plant and logistics across the Group, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and consistency in service delivery nationwide.
Thomas joined the company at the age of 16 and progressed from his apprenticeship to managing street lighting projects across the UK. Appointed to the management team in 1999, he has been instrumental in the company’s development, bringing decades of practical experience to the role. He continues to uphold the core values of hard work, quality, and integrity established by his father, the company’s founder.

Commercial Director Jason McQuaid
In his role as Commercial Director, Jason leads the Group’s estimating and bid functions, overseeing project development from initial concept through to contract award. His expertise ensures commercially sound proposals that support successful project delivery and business growth.
Jason joined the Group in 2001 as a junior estimator and CAD technician, progressing to Senior Estimator before being appointed Director in 2010. With a strong technical background and commercial awareness, he plays a key role in securing new opportunities and maintaining the Group’s competitive position in the market.

Executive Board Expansion
Building on our 50-year legacy, 2025 marked a significant milestone for the Group with the promotion of Paul McDermott and Matt Beattie to equity partners. Both Paul and Matt bring a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted understanding of our company’s culture to the Board of Directors.

Finance Director Paul McDermott
In his role as Financial Controller, Paul has played a key role in strengthening the Group’s financial management, improving reporting processes, and supporting informed decision making across the business. His commercial insight and disciplined approach to financial control have contributed to the Group’s continued growth and stability.
As Finance Director, Paul is responsible for leading the Group’s financial strategy, overseeing governance, funding, and performance management, while working closely with the Board to support sustainable growth and long term value creation.

Contracts Director Matt Beattie
In his role as Senior Contracts Manager, Matt has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, sound commercial judgment, and a deep understanding of our contracting processes. His contributions have been instrumental in strengthening our contractual framework and supporting business growth.
In their new roles as shareholders and Board members, Paul and Matt are now central to the Group's strategic vision. Their leadership is key to helping the business grow and expand even further, ensuring that the personal touch and high standards instilled by our founders continue to define Braham Group into the future.

Together, these five directors form a unified leadership team dedicated to steering the Braham Group toward continued growth and innovation across the UK and Ireland. With a shared legacy of industry expertise, they remain steadfast in upholding the personal core values of quality, hard work, and respect that have defined our business for over half a century.
