KEY INFORMATION
This £21 million flagship project for Translink is the Milewater Service Station, and is the home of the new extra long Glider Bus fleet in Belfast. The building includes four storeys of office accommodation along with a maintenance workshop that can accommodate up to 27 buses. It also includes paint spray booths and a standalone bus wash building.
We provided the complete electrical installation, with high efficiency LED light fittings using in-built microwave pods installed throughout for energy efficiency. Security systems were an important aspect of the build, including a complex network of CCTV cameras, door access controls and fire safety systems.
Working to a very tight programme schedule, with our engineers often operating at height, BIM was used to co-ordinate the project, resulting in a well organised, accurate and timely delivery.
