KEY INFORMATION
This project provided the launch of Translink’s new scheme to install EV chargers across all its bus stations and maintenance facilities in Northern Ireland. With a new fleet of electric buses on the way, the first two sites selected for this project were Milewater Service Station and Short Strand Bus Station, and over 45 Superchargers were installed.
Large LV switchboards were housed in GRP custom made enclosures, and we worked closely with Henry Brothers, to install a complex post mounted containment system to carry the large cables to each supercharger.
Additional works were also carried out at Newtownabbey Bus Depot, where it was selected as the first base for the new hydrogen powered bus fleet. 28No. retractable charging supplies were installed to new parking bays to allow flexibility for the site.
